Housing garantor for international students

Procedures for Requesting the University to Act as a Guarantor for an Apartment Lease Agreement

    1.Enrollment in the Comprehensive Renter's Insurance

    (1) Review the Program details Refer to the website and the brochure below for info.
    (2) Submit the "Insurance Application Form" to the International Student Section. Download, complete the form, and submit it via email or in person.
    (3) Receive the Payment Slip from the International Student Section. The payment slip will be sent to you via email.
    (4)

    Pay the insurance premium.

    *Please keep the receipt.

    Make the payment at the designated convenience store.
    • <Insurance Premium> 4,000 yen for 1 year; 8,000 yen for 2 years

    2. Request the University to Act as a Joint Guarantor

    (1) Complete the "Request for Institutional Guarantor Form." Download and fill out the form.
    (2)

    Submit the following documents to the International Student Section.

    ・"Request for Institutional Guarantor Form"

    Apartment Lease Agreement (original)

    Receipt of Insurance Premium Payment (original or copy)

    You can submit the proof of your insurance premium payment in person or via email.
    (3)

    Collect the following from the International Student Section.

    ・Lease Agreement with the University's Seal

    ・Insurance Enrollment Certificate

    Once you receive an email notification from the International Student Section, please collect the documents and submit your lease agreement to the real estate agency/landlord.
